5 INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT OUR HEALTH AND WELLNESS COMPLEX

1. Our health and wellness complex has been operating for over 50 years. In 1965, on the shore of Lake Auliekol (Burabay), in a pine forest at the foot of Mount Okzhetpes, a small holiday center was built for the employees of the Regional Executive Committee and the district state institutions of the virgin lands. Within a year, it gained popularity and became known as a climatic resort. An interesting fact: the President of our complex is the same age as our health and wellness complex.
2. The first name of the resort was “Yasnaya Polyana”. And in 2011, it was named JSC “Okzhetpes” health and wellness complex of the Medical Center of the Administrative Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. The former President of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin stayed in our resort.
4. Today, JSC “Okzhetpes” health and wellness complex has three branches.
5. In 2006 the General Assembly of the World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy in Andorra awarded “Okzhetpes” health and wellness complex naming it the “Best Resort in the World” for its successful organization of spa treatment as well as for its active scientific work.
