A key focus at the “Okzhetpes” sanatorium is offering rehabilitation services in ten areas, including treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, respiratory conditions, musculoskeletal issues, nervous system disorders, and vascular diseases. However, primary attention is given to musculoskeletal and cardiovascular health.
Recently, the sanatorium introduced a new type of treatment: Naftalan therapy. Naftalan, an oil-based product, has not been used previously in Kazakhstan. Our sanatorium is the first to offer Naftalan therapy, using Naftalan oil imported from Azerbaijan.
This powerful remedy, derived from crude oil, has been used for treating over 70 conditions since the 12th century. It reduces blood viscosity, boosts immunity, enhances lung function, and reduces inflammation while providing pain relief. Known for its beneficial effects on joints and the musculoskeletal system, Naftalan also treats skin conditions such as dermatitis, eczema, and psoriasis. In Azerbaijan, Naftalan treatment has been available since the Soviet era, and Kazakhstani citizens have long traveled there for such therapy. Initially, only a few sought this treatment, but today, more than 10 people receive Naftalan therapy daily, with demand increasing steadily.
In addition to Naftalan therapy, the sanatorium offers physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, massage, mud therapy, urology, dental services, colon hydrotherapy, inhalation treatments, a phyto-bar, laboratory and diagnostic departments, a cosmetic center, and an on-site pharmacy.
