Vice President of Medical and Rehabilitation Work at JSC LOK “Okzhetpes,” Laura Kusainova, shared recommendations on strengthening immunity in the fall and preventing colds.
According to Laura Kusainova, “Okzhetpes” offers 10 therapeutic programs for visitors, including physiotherapy, balneotherapy, heat treatment, and naphthalan therapy.
However, preventive measures and treatment of colds can also be taken at home.
The doctor recommends several traditional remedies, which can help combat the first signs of a cold. These include hot foot baths, mustard compresses, and nasal rinses with saline solution. To expel the cold from the body and reduce weakness, she suggests massaging and rubbing the body with essential oils.
For those who prefer vitamin therapy, she advises including fruits, vegetables, and teas rich in vitamin C in your diet. Additionally, taking vitamin D3 is essential.
In conclusion, Laura Kusainova reminded everyone that vaccination is the only specific preventive measure against the flu. It helps develop specific immunity against influenza viruses of types A and B. In Kazakhstan, the annual flu immunization campaign is conducted for the entire adult population, including pregnant women.
